I went on a hiking trip and enjoyed the trails in the area. After we hiked, I stopped by a restaurant for lunch and tried the nachos with chili. The portions were large and the selection of drinks was good, perfect to unwind after a day outdoors.
It was hard to get around without a car. The shuttle was not available, and using the bus proved difficult due to being full when it arrived. Some outlets in our room didn't work well.

Cozy ambiance with a warm wood stove in the lobby made for a comfortable stay. The breakfast, especially the bananas Foster French toast, was a highlight, but the restaurant closing a few nights left us scrambling for dinner.

This place was just a perfect match for a weekend outing in Brighton with excellent value for money. The lodge humbly sent a car to pick us up from Brighton so we could enjoy wine with dinner. For future visits, check bus schedules ahead to avoid long waits.

The Double Room was comfy and clean, which was a nice surprise. We even got a room upgrade upon arrival, so that was a bonus. A couple of rooms had a bit of an outdated vibe, but they had everything we needed. The bed was nice, but a touch too soft for my liking. No TV was a change, but it fit the rustic feel. A little musty odor hit when we walked in, but it didn't affect our stay much.
